These clients love to host and cook, and their builder grade kitchen wasn’t cutting it. The original layout didn’t include a peninsula, there was little to no prep space, storage was lacking, and the floors needed an update. I worked with them to decide on a new layout which included a coffee and wine bar, larger uppers, and more practical and useful lowers. They liked the look of a rustic, Italian kitchen, but wanted to keep with the modern finishes of the rest of the house.

In order to cover this brief, I found a rich, indigo color for the cabinets that will be timeless, and a rustic, white subway style tile with texture and dark grout. I found a one basin, stainless apron sink and brushed nickel finishes to balance the warmth of the new finish on the floors. These clients will be hosting dinners again any day now.

This kitchen was cramped and dated. We wanted to bring it to the 21st century and put the clients’ personality all over it. With the white cabinets and backsplash, I added an analogous color scheme with blues and greens. Keeping the accents neutral by adding camel colored stools and a white quartz with blue veining tied everything together. It’s coming along beautifully and will be completed by the end of the month. Cabinets are from Cliq Studios (working with me gets you a discount and professional consultation), backsplash is from Tile Bar (another perk of the designer; my discount), stools and lighting are from Wayfair (you know what I’m going to say…), and the paint color is Behr. Stay tuned for more images as the project moves along!

I changed this bathroom from floor to ceiling. I ordered tin tiles from Amazon to cover the popcorn ceiling because I wanted a cohesive look. The black accents lets the foiled wallpaper pop. I wanted everything to be a bit abstract and repetitive, reminiscent of the Art Deco period to bring the house back to its 1930 build date. The vanity provides plenty of storage which is needed in a house with children, and the llama soap dispenser adds a bit of humor.

This is the most unique space I’ve worked with to date. The client was opening a spa, which usually brings to mind calming and meditative colors and ambience. However, knowing this client, I knew we had to be bold and exciting. We needed a space that invited clients to take selfies with beautiful backdrops and bold colors that reflect the personality of this client. It started as a large, open space so we had to create zones for waiting, lounging, a beverage area and product display. After I selected the rug, I chose the bold fuschia chairs and complimentary green sofa. We matched the emerald sofa to the green wall and used it throughout the space.
